Forging Strategic Alliance for Green Development: Xinda Transformer Explores Partnership with Shandong Provincial Architectural Design & Research Institute
Xinda Transformer’s leadership team visited the Shandong Provincial Architectural Design & Research Institute to discuss strategic collaboration on green building initiatives, energy-efficient power solutions, and integrated project delivery models.

On June 6, 2025, a delegation from Xinda Transformer Co., Ltd., led by Chairman Mr. Wen and Ms. Kong, Head of the Marketing Department, visited the Shandong Provincial Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (SDADI). The visit aimed to explore strategic collaboration in green building, power equipment integration, and technological innovation through high-level discussions with President Han, Chief Engineer Sun, and other SDADI executives.
Meeting Focuses on Core Synergies
The talks centered on two key areas of mutual interest:
- Application of Energy-Saving Technologies: Chairman Wen presented Xinda Transformer’s innovations in the compact substation sector, highlighting energy-efficient products such as vacuum-cast dry-type transformers and low-loss oil-immersed transformers. These solutions align with SDADI’s focus on green and energy-saving designs for projects in healthcare, public buildings, and other sectors.
- Integrated Project Collaboration Models: Ms. Kong proposed a “Design-Equipment Integration” framework. This model suggests involving Xinda Transformer early in major SDADI-led projects—such as hospitals and supercomputing centers—to provide customized power distribution equipment, thereby optimizing electrical layouts and cost control. The proposal received positive feedback from the Institute’s representatives.
Gaining Insight into a Design Leader
During the visit, the Xinda team toured SDADI’s new office building and technical exhibition hall. Established in 1953, SDADI has an impressive portfolio of over 7,000 completed design projects, including landmarks like the Jinan West Railway Station. The institute houses dedicated research departments for BIM technology and green building certification, has won over 186 provincial and national awards, and has executed projects across Asia, Africa, and North America.
Establishing a Framework for Cooperation
The meeting culminated in three key collaborative agreements:
- Joint R&D Initiatives: To pilot the co-development of power distribution equipment for projects like new energy industrial parks and smart hospitals.
- Efficiency Research: To jointly explore “Transformer Energy Efficiency Upgrade” strategies, leveraging both parties’ expertise to reduce costs and improve efficiency in building power distribution systems.
- Global Market Access: To utilize SDADI’s extensive overseas project network to support Xinda Transformer’s strategic international expansion.
Chairman Wen remarked that this partnership signifies a strategic evolution for Xinda Transformer—from a product supplier to a solutions partner in the green construction ecosystem. This collaboration is poised to drive innovation and deliver sustainable value for future infrastructure projects.
